Alteration to Premises

Mr HH Hickmott applied on behalf of Messrs Marrion and Sons of Sheffield, for the consent of the Bench to the alteration of the Three Horse Shoes Inn at Conisborough.

He produced plans for the inspection of the Bench, and stated that space occupied presently by certain stables would be utilised to increase the size of the house, and to sweep away certain very antiquated outbuildings in the rear of the premises, and erect model outhouses in their stead.

With regard to stabling, a site had already been acquired on the opposite side of the road on which it was forced to erect stabling. As the present house was not suitable for the business the applicants did not propose to consider pounds, shillings and pence in making the premises fit for the trade done there.

Mr Tacon, architect, Rotherham, gave evidence as to the proposed alterations, and stated that on the opposite side of the road stable with three stalls would be erected.

Superintendent Blake, having stated that he raised no opposition and thought the proposed alterations will be a great improvement. The application was granted.
