An Affray at Conisbro’.

On Saturday, at the Doncaster West Riding Police Court, Daniel Edwards and James Le Vau, colliers, of New Conisbro’ and Goldthorpe respectively, were summoned for making an affray at Conisbro’ on the 23rd ‘ult.

At 7.50 p.m. on that date, on proceeding to the rear of the Denaby Main Hotel, Police-constable Jarvis discovered the defendants stripped to the waist fighting, in the midst of a large crowd of men, women, and children.

Le Vau was ordered to pay the costs and Edwards was ordered to attend the Court on the following Saturday to be bound over to keep the peace.
