Another Judgement Summons from Denaby

The great strike of two years ago was brought home again as Samuel Hill, described as of Mexborough, was charged under a judgement summons.

It appears that he struck work with the other strikers, and subsequently the Denaby and Cadeby Colonies Ltd, obtain an order against him and the others for £6 7s 6d.

The defendant had not paid anything.

His wife appeared.

Mr Gichard put in an affidavit that the defendant’s average earnings were £1 11s 9d per week.

The Bench made an order that the defendant should pay 5s per week.
