Any More Offers?
For Conisborough and Denaby Spitfire Fund
Organisers of the Conisborough Denaby Spitfire Fund. are hoping that in connection with the sporting offer made by a Conisborough resident last week to pay an amount for every enemy machine brought down to-day. (Friday), that this sporting gesture will be emulated by others in the district.
An attempt is being made to. fill up the calendar for December with similar offers, and the Secretary of the Fund. Mr. A. R. Holmes, Heydon House, Buckingham Road. Conisborough, will be pleased to receive offers and dates. Those who offer will name their own figure per machine, whether it is a penny or a pound.
Useful work has been done during the week, and the five ward sub-committees have all plans well in hand for various efforts of their own to swell the fund.
Mr Hibberd, of four, Cliff View, has taken the secretaryship of the Denaby Ward Sub- test Committee as Mr Constantine finds he his unable to undertake the work
