Assault and Remand

William Gough, a Denaby miner, was charged at Doncaster West Riding Court, yesterday, with assaulting Police-constable Shuker.

It was stated that the constable was still suffering from the injuries he received, and was too unwell attend. A remand was accordingly ordered.

Prisoner asked for bail adding that it was the feast, and he was a stranger to the district, but the application was refused.
