Assaults on the Police.
Yesterday at Doncaster, Joseph Needham, a bricklayer of Goldthorpe, was sentenced to 14 days imprisonment for assaulting P.-c. Beevers at Goldthorpe on the previous afternoon, and also fine 30 shillings including costs for being drunk and disorderly.
Aaron Seven and Thomas Connon of Denaby, colliers, were charged on remand with being drunk and assaulting P.-c. Evans, and were also committed to prison for 14 days.
