Attack on Decadence
In this month’s edition of Conisbrough Parish magazine, Canon G. F. Braithwaite. M.A. aims a blow at the “drugs, drink, sex, violence and dishonesty” prevalent in this country, as he emphasises the need for the Church throughout the world.
“What we raise in this parish is not good enough,” says Canon Braithwaite, “The Missionary outposts of the Church throughout the world need all the support we can give if they are to overcome the forces of evil and decadence that are rampant today . . . in many of the far flung lands things are much worse (than this country).
And the Church is the main fighting force against them. It is up to us to see they get the ammunition they need.”
