Attempted Suicide at Conisboro’

Helen Evans of Conisboro’, was charged at Doncaster, on Monday with attempting to commit suicide by drowning herself on Saturday.

It was stated that she had a quarrel with her husband, whom she accused of jealousy, and she left her home, stating that she would drown herself.

Two young girls fodder down to the river, and caught her as she was slipping down the bank.

The Salvation Army at Conisboro’ had interested themselves in the case, and she was discharged on a promise that she would not attempt such a thing again.
