Mexborough, Swinton Times, August 16.

Another win for Denaby.

Denaby 142 for 3 Wath 50

The leaders of the league again one very easily on Saturday when they met, and vanquished Wath, on the Denaby ground.

It was generally thought that Wath would be beaten, and when the Wath team made their appearance the Denaby supporters, were certain that their team would gain another couple of points, and thus remain champions for the present of the league.

The visitors had to find a substitute, only bringing 10 men with them.

Wath won the toss but after hesitation, sent the home team into bat. Moore batted freely for his 42 and Smith (the pro) was 40 not out when, Denaby declared at 142 for three.

Luther Robinson took six for 21 and Wath were out for just 50.
