Barnburgh Pit Output Cut By Wath Strike!

Output at Barnburgh Colliery was affected by the strike at Wath Main which ended on Monday.

Coal from the Parkgate seam at Wath is drawn at Barnburgh and the dispute cut output there by nearly 1,000 tons. Total loss of output caused by the strike is 10,519 tons.

Output from the 13 pits in the No. 3 area of the North-Eastern divisional coal board last week was 129,863 tons, a decrease of 6,124 tons on the previous week. For the fourth time in six weeks, Wentworth drift mine established a new record, this time 1,183 tons.
