Friendly Matches
Barnsley St Peters Reserve 4 Conisborough 1
A return match between these two teams was played at Barnsley on Saturday, before a fair gate, a capital struggle on a previous occasion promising a keen match.
The visitors played down in the first half, and their light wingers at times showed good speed, their forwards as a whole playing a neat game.
The Reserves defence, however, easily repel these attacks, and generally the home team press, Wood scoring with a smart diagonal shot from the right wing. Rawson before the interval scored another.
Opening the second half with a huge effort Makin, scored for Conisborough. Two more were put through by Rawson and Lingard for Barnsley.
