A Batch of Young Rowdies

Nine Denaby youths, Joseph Jenkinson (15), Jack Watson (16), Harry Murray (16), William Plant (16), Tom Hall (16), Horace Clayton (60), Tom Brannan (60), Albert Watson (60) and William Crossland (16), were summoned at Doncaster on Tuesday for having thrown missiles at Don view, Mexborough on Sunday, October 10.

PC Adcock said that the defendants were using bad language and throwing grass odds at young couples walking down the road. The officer added that it was a regular Sunday evening’s practice at the present time.

Seven of the defendants were fined 6 shillings and two who did not appear were fined 7 shillings.
