A Bicycle Thief.

Thomas Blount, trammer. Rotherham, was charged at the Doncaster West Riding Police Court on Saturday, with stealing a bicycle, the property Richard Burton, engineman, of 5, Balby street, New Conisbro’, at that place on November 30th.

On the date named prosecutor on returning from a ride placed his cycle in the front room of his house where prisoner then lodged.

The following day he missed the machine, and gave information to the police.

On January 21st prisoner was arrested at Rotherham by Detective-sergeant Allison, of the Borough Police Force, being afterwards handed o over to Police-con stable Jenkinson, of the West Riding Constabulary, stationed at Conisbro’.

Prisoner pleaded guilty, and was committed to prison for two months.
