Boer War Letters
Private J. Dixon, of Denaby Main, writing home from South Africa. complains that does not receive all letters sent to him, but there may be some excuse, as he states he is now in the Free State, end one of the loneliest parts of Africa.
Sergeant Brough, in whom Denaby feels exceptionally interested, sends home an account of his wellbeing, but holds out no hopes of returning home until the war closes. He has been at the front throughout the whole campaign.
J. Lovett, of Mexboro’, an employee at the Denaby Main Colliery, who has been out at the front, has volunteerd further service with the āGā Company, whose headquarters are at Wath on Dearne.
