Botanists at Conisborough.

Yesterday some 1,000 botanists from the Manchester district visited Conisborough in two excursion trains.

Conisborough Feast also fell yesterday, and in addition to the trippers there was a large influx of visitors who paid a visit to the various points of interest in the neighbourhood.

In the evening a botanical lecture was given next to the station various specimens of plants that had been gathered by the botanists, and the party went home soon after seven o’clock.
