“Bounce Ball” at New Conisborough

Arthur Whitworth), apprentice; John Wagstaff (15), pony driver, both of new Conisborough, were charged with throwing the ball on the highway to the annoyance of the general public. Wagstaff appeared.

PC Wales said he was on duty in Doncaster Road, 21st May, at 5. 40 p.m. in company with PC Horton. Defendants were playing bounce ball, and the ball greatly annoyed the people passing by.

PS Horton corroborated.

Wagstaff was ordered to pay 2/6 towards the cost, and Whitworth 5/– towards the costs.
