Bound for U.S.A.

Photograph is of Miss Betty Setters, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Setters of 17, Blyth Street, Denaby Main, who is hoping to sail for the USA in November in the Queen Mary

Miss Setters has several relatives in the State and is going to join them.

Mr Setters three sisters, (formerly Mrs Kathleen, Betty and Mary Setters, are  now all married in America.

His brother, Mr W.(Bill) setters had been in the States for many years and have twice visited England since they emigrated to America. They are, in Washington, Maryland, and it is to one of her aunts that Miss Setters is going.

On Saturday. October 9th, her parents are arranging to give a party at Denaby Main Hotel which will celebrate her coming of age on October 6th and give her an opportunity of bidding “Au revoir” to her many friends in the district

Miss Setters’ younger sister (Miss Ellen Setters) hopes to join her sister in USA in 1949
