Harry Robinson Adds to His Laurels.
At the Denaby Main Miners’ Welfare Hall on Saturday night, Mr. W. O. Brien (Mexborough) put on his second series of boxing contests and attracted another big attendance.
In the chief contest Harry Robinson, of Mexborough, opposed Kid Haycox, of Mansfield. Robinson was the more sturdily built and soon took the measure of his opponent so that it was not surprising that there was quick termination in the second round, when Haycox was counted out.
H. Leighton, of Denaby knocked out J. Schofield, of Mexborough, in the second round.
Johnny Regan, of Maltby, had the better of ten rounds with Billy Smith (Denaby), and John Farrell, of Denaby, and Fred Adley, of Mexborough, drew over six rounds.
