Boy Scouts in camp at Whitby.

The annual camp of the first Denaby Troupe of Boy Scouts is now in progress at Saltwick Whitley. Curiously though they are camping on the same site as a church Bible class who earlier in 1913 under the reverent, S.S.Hawkes and the reverent K.E.Kirk.

The first week was real camping under difficulties. Great storms at sea and spreading inland and placing the site partly underwater, but a kindly farmer, Mr M Stephenson placed a huge Dutch barn at our disposal.

The old-fashioned church at Whitby was visited on Sunday when 50 were present on parade.

Boating, swimming and rambling have been had in plenty
