Boys Birched

Two 13-year-old Denaby boys were each ordered to be given six strokes of the birch rod at the Doncaster West Riding Juvenile Court on Wednesday, when they were accused of breaking and entering a lock-up shop in Doncaster Road, Denaby, and stealing cash and cigarettes.

A 20-year-old use was fined £2 for receiving the cigarettes knowing them to have been stolen.
