Bravery in the Beamshaw seam of Cadeby Colliery, by Deputy Gladstone Hudson, was recognised on Saturday with presentation of a barometer from the N.C.B. and a chiming clock from his deputy colleagues.
In this picture Mr Hudson is receiving the barometer from Mr R.G.Baker, Area General Manager. On Mr Hudson’s left is Mr W Gibson, whose life was saved by Mr Hudson.
Extreme right is Mr G Marson (President of the Yorkshire Deputies Association) who made the presentation of the clock.
