Bertie Beevers, a train boy, of 12, Doncaster Road, Denaby was fined 20 shillings including costs, for having infringed one of the special rules of the Denaby Main Colliery by disobeying the lawful commands of the deputy.

Defendant it appeared put an insufficient number of lockers in a train of corves, on 23 June, and the consequence was that they rushed down the underground road, and injured a pony by breaking its leg.

Defendant bore a good character.

Mr Hickmott prosecuted on behalf of the Denaby Main Colliery Company.
