Burglary

Last -Friday the home of Mr Wellings, 77 Warmsworth Street, was entered, and the lower rooms were ransacked whilst the occupants were asleep, and the intrusion was not discovered until next morning.

The burglar was evidently out exclusively for cash and had to be content with a few shillings discovered in the pocket of a coat.

Only three weeks earlier a burglar operating in the immediate neighbourhood entered the house of Mr. G. Williams, 30 Warmsworth Street, and got clear with £50.
