At the time of the 1911 census, George lived with his 26 year old brother, Thomas Willam Denton and his brother´s wife 25 year old Amy Denton. Amy originated from Worksop and Thomas from Woodhouse. They had a 1 year old son John William Denton.
Also in the house was sister in law, 31 year old Susannah Johnson, and her children Albert Henry Johnson (2 months old) and Bertice Lilley aged 3 years.
