Cadeby Moving Forward
The improvements at the new Cadeby pit are being rapidly pushed forward.
The headstocks that are to be erected at the mouth of the pit are being manufactured of iron at the workings, all the machinery necessary having been set down for the purpose.
The plant is most extensive, and everything is on the most approved principles.
Already 320 men are employed, most of whom live at New Conisborough.
One good result of the new undertaking is seen in the fact that at the village nearly 300 new houses have been recently built.
