Cadeby Pit Boy Crushed To Death
Charlie Pearce, pit boy, son of Charlie Pearce, of Sprotborough Street, New Conisborough, lost his life in No. 1 pit of the Cadeby Mines yesterday afternoon between one and two o’clock.
Deceased was uncoupling some tubs when he got crushed, sustaining frightful injuries to his head, from which he succumbed during removal to the pit top.
