Canal Mystery Near Denaby Colliery.

Yesterday the body of an unknown man was recovered from the canal near Denaby Colliery.

He is described as being about 50 years of age,5 ft. 8ins. in height, with brown hair, blue eyes, and fresh complexion.

The man was dressed in blue trousers and coat, of a seafaring cut, and he was in possession of a tramp’s outfit.

It is stated that he was seen sitting on the canal bank half an hour before his body was recovered.
