Canon Leteux,

Roman Catholic Priest Leaving Conisborough

Canon Leteux, who, for the past eleven years has had St. Alban’e R.C. Church, Denaby Main, in his care, announced yesterday morning that he was leaving the district to-day for Wakefield.

Canon Leteux, has been a priest for 43 years, and his departure from Denaby will be greatly regretted, as he was a great favourite. He is chairman of the Conisborough Education Sub- Committee.

It is understood that the successor to Canon Leteux will be Father Holahan, of Broughton Hall, Skipton. Canon Leteux told a correspondent that a younger man was needed in the district and that was one of the chief reasons why he had decided to go.
