The property, a shop and flat on the new Windmill Council How estate, became available on October 31.
The shop was first offered as a sub Post Office. The Council received no reply to their offer and withdrew it. The tenancy was then offered for use as a drapery shop, but was declined.
The shot was then offered as a drapery shop and sub Post Office but was again declined
After two further unsuccessful attempts to let the shop the Council agreed on Monday to re advertise the property for any trade except grocery and greengrocer.
Mr R.F.Edwardson said on Tuesday that the Council were prepared to ask for permission from the Planning Authorities for the shop to be converted if it was intended loss the sale of fish and chips.
He said any other trades would be considered.
