Castle Lodge Fowl Killed

Ann Mitchell, confectioner, Conisbrough, was ordered to pay £1 costs and keep her animal under control when she was summoned at Doncaster on Saturday for not having kept a dangerous dog under control.

Eleanor Jane Smith, of Castle Lodge, Conisbrough said she had some fouls and on September 9 saw a black and white terrier in the pen worrying a pullet, which was killed.

Witness letter so defendant and complained of the dogs action and asked for 2s to cover the damage.

Mrs Mitchell replied that she “had no right to keep a – – – – farmyard in the castle grounds.”

Mrs Mitchell, who pleaded “guilty” said the dog was not six months old
