Children’s Enjoyable Day.
The Roman Catholics of Denaby Main, Conisborough, and Mexborough, spent a most delightful afternoon in Mr Robinson’s field, behind the Red House, Denaby Main, on Whit Monday.
About 400 children, with a good number of the grown-up people of the parish assembled for Divine Service in the church at Denaby Main.
After Divine Service, the whole went in procession, the little ones leading, headed by the Reverend father Kavanagh, to the Red House, where they were welcomed by Mrs M. A. Bury.
Permission had kindly been granted by Mr C. Bury for the procession to pass through their beautiful gardens to the field.
On arriving, the sports were at once started
