Claim for Compensation

Robert C. Clark, collier, Denaby brought claim against the Denaby and Cadeby Colliery Company for compensation.

Mr. Perks, barrister Leeds appeared for the plaintiff, Mr Gichard, of Rotherham, for the defendant company.

The evidence was to the effect that plaintiff had been employed at the colliery, and on January 25th a fall of dirt took place, and Clark and Allen were trying to upset the corve. Allen slipped, and the tub of dirt fell on the claimant, who was injured internally.

Evidence was called for the defence to show that previously plaintiff had suffered from nervous debility, and the Judge dismissed the application.
