Club’s Action Against Late Steward.
An action brought by the New Conisborough Working Men’s Club against Thomas Stokes, late steward, was decided in the Doncaster County Court, yesterday.
There was a counterclaim by defendant for £6B 16s. 3d.
Mr. Baker said that the case had been referred to Mr. Fletcher Hibbert, accountant, to go into the accounts and he had certified that there was a deficiency of £181.
His Honour gave judgment for£100 and the counter-claim is to be gone into at the next Court.
