The Co-operative Society – Good Progress
This society, in course of formation at Denaby Main, is making good progress. The number of members who have already joined amounts to more than those of many societies that have been in existence for a much longer period, while others who have promised to become members are more than twice as many.
Some people are doubtful of its success, and, consequently, cannot see their way clear to join. If the movement turns out to be a profitable investment for their money they will then join.
Negotiations have been entered into with some firms for supplying the requisite printing, cheques, &c., necessary for use in Co-operative Societies, and it is hoped that shortly all arrangements will be completed for setting the society on a firm basis. The committee earnestly wish that all intending members will join at once, in order to prevent any further delay.
