Lower Carting Charges In Denaby And Cadeby.

The annual meeting of the Denaby and Cadebv Home Coal Carting Committee was held at Denaby Welfare on Sunday, the chair being taken by Mr. T. Hill.

A very successful year was reported, and it was decided that as from 1 April there should a reduction of 3d. per ton in carting charges to the employees of the pits.

The balance sheet showed total income £6,344 and expenditure of £4,080. Last year there were 33,235 loads of coal carted.
