Colliery Workmen’s Trip.

The surface men connected with the Denaby and Cadeby collieries have made arrangements with the Hull and Barnsley Railway Company to run a trip to Hull on Saturday, August 7.

The excursion will leave Denaby station at 7 a.m., arriving at Hull about 8.30.

Arrangements have been made by the company to travel from Hull to Grimsby by boat for the convenience of any who may wish to go.

It is expected that a large number will avail themselves of the opportunity of a sea voyage and seeing the hitherto but little traversed part of the country, along which the new South Yorkshire Junction railway passes.

The trip returns from Hull at 11 p.m.

Tickets will be in the hands of the committee tomorrow.

The joint committee being as follows: – Cadeby, Jos Marsland. H. W. Campbell, F. Fisher, E. Rose, Twibey, D. Mitchell, Stribley, A. J. Routledge, and Denaby: P. Thirsk. Joseph Soar, William Dibb, E. Waplington, Albert Jackson, John Gibson, etc.
