Comrades Club

The annual meeting of the Denaby Comrades Club was held last Sunday morning and attended by over 150 members.

Mr E Kelly presided.

Mr T Oxley (secretary) presented the balance sheet and auditors report and the children’s fund account all of which were accepted as satisfactory.

It was decided to terminate the levy of members for the grants of £5 which had been made at the death of a member in the past.

The following officials were returned unopposed: president: Mr E Kelly; vice president: Mr A Haywood; secretary Mr T Oxley; treasurer, Mr T C Swinborne.

The committee will be elected next Sunday.
