Comrades Club Outing – 1500 on Excursion
The officials of the Denaby Comrades Club had a busy time on Monday when they were responsible for the annual outing of member’s children of school age to Cleethorpes for the day.
Altogether 1500 persons availed themselves of the excursion and two trains were required. The members children received a free ticket and one shilling each. Unfortunately rain marred the outing, but in spite of this they all contrived to have a happy time.
The members of the comrades club where entertained during the week end by Madame Flitcroft (soprano), Miss May Kenny (soubrette and dance) and the club Orchestra.
