Concert at Conisborough

At Conisborough Central Hall, Conisborough, last night, there was a large and appreciative audience at a concert promoted by the local Convalescent Committee.

The programme was a capital one, and the artists were local ladies and gentlemen who already possess excellent credentials.

Miss Dorothy Nicholson (contralto), Mr. W. H. Popple (baritone), Mr Arthur Butler (tenor), are all well-known as rising vocalists, and their talents were greatly appreciated last night.

Other artists who contributed very pleasing items were Miss Dorothy Fowler, Mr. J.J. Laughton (phono fiddle), and Miss Edna Laughton (Hexthorpe), while the Ivanhoe Band was under H. H. Sharp.

The accompanists were Mr. G. Clarkson and Mr. W. H. Wilson.
