Conisboro’ 33 Mexboro’ 36

This interesting match was played at Conisboro’ on Saturday last, and after a closely played game resulted in a victory for the visitors by three runs only. For Conisboro’ the respected veteran player failed to score. Laughton and Wood however raised the largest numbers, and Marshall and Briggs handled the ball efficiently for Mexboro. Lewis bowled in good style for the excellent total of 19, none of the other players scoring any high number. Jenkinson again was very successful with his stands, and Jagger bowled in good style. We should suggest that the younger bowlers shall be tried much oftener as they appear to be in good form and effective.
