Conisboro’ Notes – Sunday Schools’ Trip – Railway Opening

June 1912

Conisboro’ Notes.

Sunday Schools’ Trip

On Feast Monday arrangements are being made for a general exodus, as all the Sunday schools, in the village will pay their annual trip to Cleethorpes.

Three trains have already been chartered, and perhaps more will be requisitioned.

Mr. G Brocklesby has the arrangements in band.

Railway Opening

There were few people present on Monday to witness a first passing over the viaduct of the first passenger train.

Evidently the wet weather spoilt the anticipated outing for many, who undoubtedly would have raised a hearty cheer to the magnificent piece of engineering work which now adorns the cliffs.
