Conisboro’ Parent Fined
George Butcher, Conisboro’, was summoned at the instance of Frank Allen, clerk to the Conisboro’ School Board, for disobeying an attendance order made at that Court on July 3rd.
Complainant said an attendance order was made on July 3rd for defendant to send his son Percy to the Station Road Boys’ School. Since that date the boy had attended very irregularly, and the School Board wished those proceedings to be instituted in order that in the event of a second disobedience the boy might be sent to an industrial school.
Only a nominal penalty was applied for.
The Bench imposed a penalty of 5s. and costs.
