Conisborough 25 Balby 26 for 5

A very good wicket, a broiling update, and some very bad cricket, was the order of the day last Saturday at Conisborough. It was the last league match of the season, and as Balby were nearly as badly off in the league as the home team, a couple of points were expected.

However, we were woefully disappointed, for the whole team, with the exception Hardy, who batted with one hand for 8, were totally lost with the bowling. Conisborough were all out for 25 and the Balby Analysis was:

Hoyle 7.3 overs, 4 maidens, 11 runs, 6 wickets, average 1.83

Langton 8t= overs, 1 maiden, 12 runs,3 wickets, average 4.00 .

Balby look to have an easy thing on. Not so, either, and five wickets had fallen before Balby claimed both points.
