Conisborough and Its Fire Brigade
At last night’s meeting of the Parish Council, Mr. H. Baker presiding, a long discussion took place upon a report given by the committee upon the fire brigade which it was stated that new appliances were required.
At the end of an hour’s debate the Chairman (Mr. J. Hawkesworth) said that the Council did not possess sufficient money to purchase the goods asked for.
Mr. Jones, the captain of the pointed out that half of the hose in the of the brigade was no use, and Mr. Moody said if the goods wore not purchased they might as well sell up.
lt was ultimately decided recommendations of the committee should be agreed to.
