Conisborough Baptists to Stop Morning Services.

Officials of the Conisborough Baptist Church, in an attempt to solve the problem of diminishing attendances at the services, have decided to discontinue the morning services for a period of three months.

At last Sunday’s morning service the lay preacher from Sheffield found a “congregation” of one awaiting him, and the service was not held.

On another occasion recently only three members of the church, all of one family, attended a service, and the decline in attendance has become a matter of anxiety to the officers of the church

Their decision to suspend the morning services temporarily has been taken in the belief that an improvement in the attendances at the evening services will follow.
