Conisborough bigger than Mexborough
The census returns published this week shows that the newly formed Urban District of Conisbrough has a population of 15,850.
Of these 8,290 are males and 7,560 of females.
This figure represents an increase of 186 persons on the population of the area covered by the present Urban District in 1911.
Thus Conisbrough’s population is now slightly larger than that of Mexborough.
