Conisborough Church Sunday School Collections

June 1896

Mexborough & Swinton Times, June 26th, 1896.

Conisborough Church Sunday School.

On Sunday next sermons will be preached and collections made both at the Parish Church and Clifton in aid of the Sunday Schools.

The increasing population in the village, increases the attendance of the children in the Sunday Schools. It is to be hoped that all will support the vicar in the good and earnest work which he is carrying on in connection with the children. The catechising on Sunday afternoon is much appreciated by the children, funds are most needed to carry on this good work.

In connection with the Sunday Schools, a flower service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2-30. The children will meet on the Castle grounds at 2 o’clock, and headed by the Conisborough Brass Band, will march up to the Church round the village in procession.

Collections will be made at all service in aid of the childrens’ trip to Bridlington on July 6th.
