Conisborough Cricket Club Ball.
A Successful Social Function
The 15th annual ball of the Conisborough cricket and tennis club was held on Thursday night, at the old County Schools, Conisborough. For many years past this function has been rightly regarded as chief social event of the year in Conisborough, and on Thursday night it was attended as it always has been, by the best-known people in the district.
The main schoolroom, in which the dancing took place, was tastefully decorated, and the floor was laid with holland.
Adjoining the classrooms, two of which were extemporised as drawing rooms, and rendered comfortable with the assistance of borrowed furniture, while another – the largest one – was used as a supper room. The tables were beautifully laid. Their appearances reflecting great credit on Mr J Davies, of Spring Gardens, Doncaster, who superintended the arrangements.
