Conisborough Isolation Hospital.

November 1909

Sheffield Daily Telegraph – Friday 19 November 1909

Conisborough Isolation Hospital.

The resignation of a nurse, received at the monthly meeting of the Conisborough Isolation Board, yesterday, gave Mr. Leo (Mexborough) the opportunity of getting testimony as to whether there was any truth in the rumours about the diet at the hospital being wanting in quality.

The nurse said the food was quite satisfactory.

The Clerk (Mr. Marshall) reported that the new code of the Local Government Board had been received. He had made the allocation for payment of the common fund by the three constituent authorities of the Board, for the half-year ending March 31. Doncaster Rural had to pay ten-fifteenths; Mexborough Urban, four-fifteenths; and Thurnscoe Urban, one-fifteenth.

A resolution was passed that Thurnscoe be applied to for their apportionment.
