Conisborough Lodger’s Assault.

Yesterday, at the West Riding Court, Doncaster, John Macdonald, collier, Conisborough, was committed to prison for one month for assaulting John Hulley, with whom he lodged, on Saturday night, and for a further seven days for being drunk and disorderly.

The men had had some words earlier in the day, and at night complainant was taking his boots off when defendant kicked him in the mouth, inflicting a wound which necessitated the man undergoing medical treatment, the doctor having to insert five stitches.
